Fayette coroner searching for next of kin

Published: December 10, 2012

The Fayette County Coroner's office is trying to locate the next of kin of Robert Kinsley Rohrer, 77, a white male found dead on Dec. 4 in his residence at 571 West Short Street.

Rohrer had lived in Lexington since 2004, according to his landlord.

Deputy coroner Al Beatty said the coroner's office had talked to neighbors and contacted Good Samaritan Hospital and the University of Kentucky Hospital where Rohrer had been treated.

"Both hospitals had his landlord listed as next of kin," Beatty said. Rohrer had no police record.

The only thing Rohrer carried by way of identification was a Massachusetts ID card issued in 1994. Anyone with information about Rohrer is asked to call the coroner's office at (859) 455-5700.
