Graduations

■ Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Quantel D. Jones has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Taticha Groves of Winchester and a 2009 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School.

■ Army National Guard Pvt. Randy W. Barrett has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Barrett is the son of Larry and Judith Barrett of Paris.

■ Air Force Airman 1st Class Daniel S. Henderson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Henderson is the son of Mike and Tammy Henderson of Georgetown. He is a 2010 graduate of Scott County High School.

Miscellaneous

■ Thomas C. Brown, an Army ROTC cadet involved in Cadet Language and Cultural Immersion Training, will soon be deployed to a partner nation where he will be immersed in the local culture and language. As a cadet, he will spend three weeks assisting with Army missions that range from helping build community projects to teaching English to local children.

Brown is a student at Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va. He is the son of Scott and Julie Brown and the grandson of Pat and Earl Baldwin, all of Richmond.
