COLUMBIA - Lindsey Wilson College awarded 381 degrees at its winter graduation ceremony on Saturday morning.
The 194 undergraduate degrees and 187 graduate degrees set a record for the 109-year-old liberal arts college in Columbia.
Attorney General Jack Conway was the commencement speaker for the day's festivities, according to a release from the college.
Conway reminded graduates that they are part of a minority in Kentucky -- less than 20 percent of residents have a college degree.
"By flipping that tassel, youre the leaders of our state," Conway said. "By flipping that tassel, you're the promise. By flipping that tassel, you are our future. And we need you -- we need you to launch a business, we need you to start a career, we need you to raise a family, we need you to build our communities."
