Abundant Living clinic owners sue other owner

The owners of a hormone replacement clinic in Lexington are suing another owner and manager of the clinic with negligence and malfeasance, according to a lawsuit filed in Fayette Circuit Court.

The owners of the Abundant Living Medical Clinic allege that Michael Betts failed to pay state and federal payroll taxes, and failed to pay vendors on time. The suit also alleges that Betts withdrew money from already overdrawn accounts as many as 900 times.

The answering machine at Abundant Living says the clinic is temporarily closed.

Betts told several local television stations that he will challenge the suit with an injunction on Monday.
