Here is how Lexington services are affected by Christmas Day:

Fayette County Health Department: Closed Tuesday

Lexington city government: Closed Tuesday

Trash collection: Residents whose regular collection day is Tuesday will receive service Wednesday. Those residents should place their Herbies, Rosies and Lennies on the curb after 4 p.m. Tuesday to assure collection Wednesday.

Businesses that have city pickup for their dumpsters (landfill bound and recycling) will receive service on Wednesday.

The Municipal Recycling Facility, the city's Electronic Recycling Center and the Haley Pike Waste Management facility are closed Tuesday.

State government: Closed Tuesday

Libraries: Closed Tuesday

Lextran: Running every 70 minutes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Tuesday

Mail: No delivery Tuesday

District court: Closed Tuesday

Circuit court: Closed Tuesday
