A Lexington man was killed in a head-on collision Wednesday morning on U.S. 27 in Garrard County, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.
Police said Jason Grizzell, 33, of Lexington was driving a 1987 Toyota Corolla station wagon north on U.S. 27 in northern Garrard County when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2007 Mercedes SUV driven by Islam Ali, 31, of Nicholasville.
Grizzell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Garrard County coroner's office; Ali was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. He was listed in fair condition Thursday evening.
