Suspect in Chase Bank robbery arrested in Arizona

A suspect in a November bank robbery in Lexington has been arrested in Arizona.

William D. Abshear, 38, was arrested Dec. 21, and is being held on a robbery charge, according to records of the Maricopa County, Ariz., jail.

Lexington police obtained a second-degree robbery arrest warrant for Abshear in late November in connection with the robbery at Chase Bank on Winchester Road.

According to police, a man entered the bank shortly after 2 p.m. on Nov. 26, displayed a note demanding money, and walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
