The owners of 22 horses that wandered onto a Bath County farm on Christmas Day have been located.
State police said in a news release that the owners called police Thursday and said the horses had gotten out of a fenced-in area that was damaged during a storm.
The horses wandered onto the farm of state police Sgt. Jim Bowling. Bowling found them in his front yard about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Bowling secured the horses and asked the public for help identifying the horses' owners.
The owners were to pick up the horses Friday, the release said.
