A Laurel County man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck Friday.

Curtis G. Smith, 41, of London, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle on Ky. 229 near Hideaway Road, southeast of downtown London, when he lost control in a curve and ran off the road. The wreck happened at 2:47 p.m.

The Laurel County coroner pronounced Smith dead at the scene, according to a news release from Laurel County Sheriff John Root's office. Smith was wearing a helmet.
