Jaleel Hytchye, a cornerback from Cincinnati's LaSalle High School, committed on Saturday to play football at Kentucky.
He is the first high school player to commit to Kentucky since the hiring of new head coach Mark Stoops. Previously, Stoops received commitments from a pair of junior-college standouts.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Hytchye is rated a four-star player by ESPN and Rivals.com and a three-star prospect by Scout.com.
Hytchye also considered Pittsburgh and Tennessee, Rivals.com reported.
Hytchye was a second-team all-Greater Catholic League South division selection this past season, according to Cincinnati.com.
Rivals ranks Hytchye as the 50th-best cornerback prospect in the nation.
