State police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred during a domestic disturbance in Lincoln County late Saturday, according to a news release.

The initial investigation indicates that shots were fired during a domestic dispute between Ray Henson, 75, and his son Michael Henson, 42, police said.

Michael Henson died at Fort Logan Hospital from injuries he sustained.

Police questioned Ray Henson but did not immediately report arresting him.

Police were notified of the shooting at 11:25 p.m. Saturday.
