Fayette coroner identifies victim of fatal shooting

Authorities have identified a man who was shot and killed Saturday night in Lexington.

Joseph Randolph, 49, was found shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 186 Simpson Avenue, Lexington police said. Randolph was taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, where he died in the emergency room, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

Police have released few details of the shooting.

Lt. Dean Marcum said there have been no arrests and there are no suspects in the shooting. The investigation continues.
