Versailles mayor's daughter to be arraigned on drug charges

Published: January 11, 2013

The daughter of Versailles Mayor Fred Siegelman is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette Circuit Court on charges that she sold drugs on the University of Kentucky campus.

Rachel Siegelman, 19, was indicted this week on four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance. She is accused of selling marijuana to an informant working undercover with the University of Kentucky police department on three occasions in October, according to court records.

On Oct. 24, the day police arrested Siegelman, investigators also found "two hits of LSD" intended for sale in her vehicle, the records said.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 18.
