A Winchester man died Wednesday night when his pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer in Clark County, Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue said.

Perdue identified the man as James Patrick, 77.

An hour before the wreck, Patrick's family called police, saying he had dementia and that he had left a home, Purdue said.

The sheriff said police were searching for Patrick when the accident occurred at 10:43 p.m. at Old Boonesboro Road and Boonesboro Road, he said. Patrick's vehicle apparently pulled out in front of the tractor-trailer, Perdue said.
