A Madison County man found dead in a shallow stream Wednesday died as a result of exposure and injuries received in a fall from his second-story bedroom window, according to preliminary autopsy results.

Family members found Walter Coomer, 81, of Berea beside his house on Pain Lick Road. The autopsy was conducted by the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort.

There were obvious signs of foul play, Kentucky State Police said Wednesday in a release.
