University of Kentucky freshman Willie Cauley-Stein did not travel with the team to Auburn for its men's basketball game Saturday night.
"Willie stayed home so he could get a double dose of treatment so we can get him back sooner," Coach John Calipari tweeted on Saturday afternoon.
The team announced Friday that Cauley-Stein had a "minor procedure" done on his left knee Thursday to clear up an old injury he recently aggravated but left open the possibility that he might play Saturday.
Cauley-Stein did not practice Friday, Calipari said.
The 7-foot Cauley-Stein is averaging 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game this season.
Kentucky's next game after Saturday's 9 p.m. contest at Auburn is a visit to Alabama on Tuesday.
