One man died and three others were injured in a two-car crash in Madison County Saturday morning.

Jeremy Owens, 21, of Winchester, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, which occurred on Ky. 627 at about 5:24 a.m., said Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison.

The driver and another passenger of the vehicle in which Owens was riding, as well as the driver of the other vehicle, were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

Cornelison said he did not know the names of those injured, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Cornelison said he did not think Owens had been wearing a seat belt.
