Lexington police arrest man charged in Pike Co. with stalking

Published: January 20, 2013

Lexington police arrested a man Saturday who is accused in Pike County of repeatedly stalking a woman.

Harry Martin Chapman, 56, recently was indicted by a Pike County grand jury on charges of stalking and being a persistent felon. Acting on a tip, police found Chapman in Lexington at the St. James Place Apartments at 169 Deweese Street, said Lt. Dean Marcum. Chapman remained late Sunday in the Fayette County jail.

Pike County prosecutors have told WKYT-TV that Chapman already has served time in prison for stalking a local woman, and he resumed stalking and threatening her after he was released.
