The three family members gunned down in a community college parking lot were laid to rest Monday.

The funerals for Taylor Cornett, 12, her father, Jackie Cornett, 53, and his niece, Caitlin Cornett, 20, were held Monday at the John C. Combs Arena in Hazard.

Rev. Eli Smith and Rev. Bill Scott conducted the services.

The three were buried at Resthaven Cemetery in Jeff, Ky.

The Cornetts were shot on Jan. 15 in the parking lot of the Hazard Community and Technical College.

Dalton Stidham, 21, has been charged in the deaths. He allegedly shot the three after meeting with Caitlin Cornett to return their son to her following a court-ordered visitation. The two had been involved for several months in a custody battle over their two-year-old son.
