Jessamine county notes: Students sample, critique lunch vendors' offerings

January 23, 2013

West Jessamine Middle School students Jessica Perez, left, and Ye Joo Lee nibbled mini-muffins at the Jessamine County Schools food service tasting event.

Jessamine County Schools students were treated to a school lunch tasting event on Jan. 11 at the Coolidge Building on Maple Street. Up to 30 students from each elementary, middle and high school got a chance to sample the latest fare from a dozen vendors from across the region. Student feedback will influence future purchasing decisions.
