Franklin County notes: Teens dance at senior facility

Frankfort teens with the dance troupe BCB recently brought their Motown favorites to senior residents at Morning Pointe of Frankfort. The group performed for residents Jan. 5 and plan to return for a Veterans Day performance.

The group has been together about five years. They auditioned for America's Got Talent in 2010 and have been named Singing Ambassadors for the U.S. Space and Rocket Center's Insider Magazine.

Job fair aimed at military members, veterans

Job seekers who are transitioning personnel, veterans, members of the National Guard, reservists and their dependents are invited to a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at Capital City Christian Church, 15 Locust Lane, Frankfort.

Attendees should be prepared for interviews, and should bring proof of military service such as a DD214, VA or military ID card, and a current résumé.
