If you haven't seen the movies that were nominated for Oscars last week and you want to, you have a marathon month ahead of you before winners are announced Feb. 24.

Here's a guide to the major-category nominees that you can see in theaters or on DVD this weekend. Major nominations also are listed. Note that studios sometimes will re-release nominated films, which often will show up at discount theaters.

These movies are scheduled to open in wider release soon, but it's not known whether they will arrive in Lexington before the Oscars. They are not playing anywhere in the region currently.

The Gatekeepers (documentary feature). In limited release beginning Feb. 1.

NO MAN'S LAND

This film is no longer in Lexington or regional theaters and is not scheduled to arrive on DVD until after the Oscars. If you haven't seen it, you might be out of luck.

The Master (actor, Joaquin Phoenix; supporting actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman; supporting actress, Amy Adams). On DVD on Feb. 26.

Wreck-It Ralph (animated feature). Look for it in discount theaters soon. Also on DVD on March 5.
