Local bowlers continued their high-scoring ways, posting the 26th and 27th 300 games of the season. Randy Johnson and Jody Wafford each rolled 300, and two others rolled 299 games.

Johnson's second 300 of the season came Jan. 18 in the Friday Night Fun League at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland. He also has an 805 series.

Wafford rolled his perfect game in the James R. Wafford Memorial League at Southland on Jan. 21. The league is named after Wafford's grandfather.

Last season there were 46 perfect games in the Greater Lexington USBC. The current pace could top that mark.

The Greater Lexington USBC men's and women's tournaments will be Feb. 15-16 and 23-24 at Eastland. The entry deadline has been extended to midnight Feb. 8 in order to allow the scheduling of shifts. The men's tournament has multiple entries but does not have re-entrys as in years past, so all entries must be in by the deadline. Entry forms are available at all centers in the association.
