Published: January 27, 2013

Police are searching for two inmates who escaped Sunday evening from Blackburn Correctional Complex.

Lt. Dean Marcum of the Lexington Police Department said Willard Wilson, 48, and Donnie Johnson, 38, were reported missing shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday.

Wilson, who is 6'2'' and weighs 175 pounds, is serving 22 years on a burglary charge. According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections website, Wilson had previously been convicted of escape.

Johnson, who is 5'11'' and weighs 160 pounds, is serving 13 years for robbery, Marcum said.

Each man was last seen were wearing prison-issued khaki shirt and pants. It's possible, Marcum said, that the khakis were covered by gray sweatpants.
