A 19-year-old man is facing several charges after allegedly making threats against Anderson County High School and a student.

Lawrenceburg police said they received a report early Monday morning that someone had sent text messages to a resident, making threats against the student and the school.

James R. Tindale, 19, was arrested soon afterward by city police and Anderson County sheriff's deputies, authorities said.

Tindale was held in the Shelby County Detention Center on charges of making harassing communications and second-degree and third-degree terroristic threatening.

Additional charges might be filed later, officers said.

A Kentucky State Police K-9 unit was called in to search the school, which was deemed safe for students.
