Kindergarten, preschool in Madison cancelled because of slick roads

January 31, 2013

Slick roads from a morning snow prompted Madison County School officials to cancel afternoon kindergarten/preschool and the midday bus routes for Thursday, said Erin Stewart Community Education Director of Madison County Schools.

Other students and classes are not affected, Stewart said.

Parents of morning kindergarten and preschool students can pick their children up if they choose. Students also may stay at school and be transported this afternoon by bus, she said. Parents may call their school office or the district office at (859) 624-4500.
