Jacob Hulette, a youth bowler at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland, posted the season's 28th 300 game on Jan. 26. Hulette's score in the Senior division of the Eastland youth program was part of a 711 series.

Hulette's accomplishment topped his grandfather, the late Larry Carey, a 2000 inductee into the Greater Lexington USBC Hall of Fame. Carey was never able to roll a perfect game.

It was the second 300 by a youth bowler this season. Ben Davis rolled one at Southland on Sept. 22.

Blake White came close to a perfect game with a 299 in the Around Town League on Jan. 24 en route to a 736 series.

■ The entry deadline for the men's and women's city tournaments is Feb. 8. The tournaments are at Eastland on Feb. 16-17 and Feb. 23-24.
