Franklin County football star Ryan Timmons will announce his college decision at 1 p.m. Tuesday during a ceremony at the school.

The 5-foot-11 wide receiver is ranked by ESPN as the No. 249 overall player in the nation and the fourth-best prospect in Kentucky.

Timmons has narrowed his choices to Kentucky and Florida. He scored 45 touchdowns as a senior for the Flyers, topping 1,000 yards in both rushing (1,306) and receiving (1,004). He has said he would like to play receiver, running back and kick returner in college.

Kentucky has 20 commitments so far for the class of 2013, and Timmons is among a handful of recruits Mark Stoops is pursuing. National signing day is Wednesday.
