Two bridges on Bluegrass Parkway will be partially closed Friday

Published: February 5, 2013

Two highway bridges on the Bluegrass Parkway at the Anderson-Woodford County line will be partially closed for part of the day Friday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says.

One lane will be closed on each bridge, leaving one lane open to traffic at all times, officials said. The closings are necessary for bridge inspection, according to the cabinet.

The bridges carry Bluegrass Parkway traffic over the Kentucky River at milepoint 62.

An inspection is scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon Friday.

Signs will be in place to guide traffic, but the Transportation Cabinet said motorists should use care when passing through the area.
