Man arrested in Georgetown on charges of child pornography

A 31-year-old man was arrested in Georgetown on charges related to child pornography Tuesday morning.

Members of the Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force arrested Johnny Watts in an apartment on North Broadway, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Watts was charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and seven counts of possession of child pornography.

He was being held in the Franklin County Regional Jail on $50,000 full cash bond, according to the jail website.

The arrest was the result of a monthslong investigation by the Kentucky Attorney General's office and the U.S. Marshals Service.
