February 7, 2013

A Henry Clay High School senior competing in the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament defeated two competitors and advanced to the finals in Wednesday's episode.

Barrett Block, 17, took a late lead over competitor Irene Vazquez of Houston by answering several questions correctly in categories about famous artists and the Federal Reserve.

He also was the only competitor who answered the Final Jeopardy question correctly. Block finished with a total of $28,001 and will compete for a $75,000 grand prize in a future episode. The tournament ends Feb. 12.
