The Lexington Fire Department's newest class of lieutenants recited the Pledge of Allegiance on Friday during a graduation ceremony at the inaugural Company Officer Academy. The academy provided formal, classroom and hands-on training experience for firefighters being promoted to lieutenant. There were 15 students in the class.
