A man has admitted to the post-Thanksgiving robbery of a Chase Bank branch on Winchester Road after being arrested out of state in another bank robbery, according to court documents.

William Abshear walked into the Chase Bank branch on Nov. 26 with a note reading, "Put the money on the counter," according to a statement from an FBI agent filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Abshear got away with $1,500 but was arrested about a month later in Phoenix on charges of robbing another Chase Bank branch.

Abshear admitted to robbing the Lexington bank after the Phoenix arrest, according to the FBI agent.
