Nicholasville police were looking for a man who robbed First Southern Bank on Friday.
The bank on Fairfield Drive was robbed at closing time, about 6:15 p.m., when a man armed with a handgun entered and told tellers to fill a bag with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said in a news release Monday.
The man left through a back door as a police officer approached the front of the bank. Police said the man apparently ran across U.S. 27.
He was wearing dark clothes and a hat. He had a scarf wrapped around his nose and mouth to hide his face.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Nicholasville Police Department at (859) 885-9467.
