A Ford Explorer rear-ended a LexTran bus on Saturday afternoon, sending four people to the hospital.
Major Daniel Bellot of the Lexington Fire Department said it was not clear if the driver of the Explorer had suffered a medical emergency which led to the crash, which happened on Fourth Street between Limestone and Upper.
The car's driver, the bus driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital as a precaution, Bellot said.
