2014 forward Shaqquan Aaron commits to Louisville

Published: February 17, 2013

Shaqquan Aaron, a top-100 prospect in the class of 2014, announced his commitment to Louisville on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-8 small forward is a native of the Los Angeles area but plays his high school ball for Rainier Beach in Seattle. Aaron is nationally ranked by 24/7 Sports (15th), Rivals.com (27th), Scout.com (34th) and ESPN (51st). He was rated even higher earlier in his high school career but was ineligible for his sophomore season because of transfer rules.

Aaron's new school, Rainier Beach, also produced former Louisville star Terrence Williams.

Aaron chose the Cardinals over UCLA, Washington and Arizona. He joins Ballard point guard Quentin Snider — also a top-50 recruit — in Louisville's recruiting class of 2014.
