A man died Monday in a tractor accident in Fleming County.
Ronald Elmo McCord had gone out to check on his cows, and "he just got too close to the edge of a bank and his tractor flipped with him," Fleming County Coroner Gary Workman said.
Workman said the tractor, which had a cab, "just hit and bounced and hit and bounced again."
McCord was accustomed to checking in with his family regularly by cellphone, and when he did not, Workman said, family members went to the field and found him.
The accident happened in the Cowan community. McCord was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:15 p.m.
Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is in charge of arrangements.
