The University of Kentucky's baseball game against Kansas State originally scheduled for Sunday has been moved up to Thursday because of weather concerns, the school announced Tuesday.

Eighth-ranked Kentucky will face Kansas State at 4 p.m. Thursday at Pelicans Park in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Cats' other two games in Myrtle Beach remain unchanged. Kentucky plays Elon on Friday at noon and Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are in the Myrtle Beach forecast for Saturday night and Sunday.

The schedule change makes for a quick turnaround for Kentucky, which got home Monday night from a three-win season-opening weekend in Spartanburg, S.C. UK leaves Wednesday night for Myrtle Beach.

Upon returning to Lexington, the Wildcats will play their home opener Tuesday (Feb. 26) against Murray State.
