Outdoors retailer Cabelas announced plans Tuesday to open a store in Louisville this spring.
The store, at Old Brownsboro Crossing near the intersections of Interstates 265 and 71, will be the first for the retailer in Kentucky, according to a statement.
The 88,000-square-foot store, which is expected to employ about 200 people, is scheduled to open April 11. It will include a mountain replica, wildlife displays, an indoor archery range and a boat shop, among other in-store features.
The chain operates 40 stores in the United States and Canada and has plans to open 13 more stores by the end of 2014.
