A Lexington man has been charged with sexually abusing a girl younger than 12.

Kent Matteola, 64, admitted to sexual contact with the girl on three separate dates, according to court documents.

He has been charged with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under age of 12.

He was released from the Fayette County jail Thursday on $15,025 bond.

A court hearing for Matteola is scheduled for March 5.
