'The Goonies': Where are they now?

Sean Astin (Mikey): The son of Patty Duke, Astin, who turns 42 on Monday, is probably best known for playing Samwise Gamgee, Hobbit and hall-of-fame best friend to Frodo Baggins, in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

Josh Brolin (Brandon): Brolin, 45, was nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor in 2009 for his work in Milk. Last year, he did an uncanny Tommy Lee Jones impersonation playing a young Agent K in Men in Black 3. He is married to Diane Lane.

Martha Plimpton (Stef): The daughter of Keith Carradine has had a well-recognized acting career: Plimpton, 42, won an Emmy last year for guest actress in The Good Wife; she was nominated for best comedy actress in 2011 for playing young grandma Virginia in Raising Hope; and she has been nominated for the Tony Award three times for her work on Broadway.

Corey Feldman (Mouth): Famously known as half of the 1980s teen heartthrob duo The Two Coreys (with Corey Haim, who died in 2010), Feldman, 41, has lately been seen in low-budget films (Zero Dark Dirty?) and occasional TV cameos. He also was part of the cast of The Surreal Life reality show in 2003.

Jeff Cohen (Chunk): Cohen, 38, left acting in the early 1990s. He's now a lawyer and a founding partner at the entertainment law firm Cohen Gardner LLP, based in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Kerri Green (Andy): The Goonies was Green's first movie, but she went on to star in gems like Summer Rental and Lucas. Now 46, she has mostly left acting but reportedly writes screenplays and appeared in an indie film called Complacent (2010).

Ke Huy Quan (Data): Besides The Goonies, Quan, 41, also known as Jonathan Ke Quan, is known for playing Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). He reportedly has left acting but worked as a stunt coordinator on X-Men (2000).

John Matuszak (Sloth): The man underneath the lovable Fratelli brother's grotesque makeup was a former NFL player who twice won the Super Bowl. He died in 1989 at age 38.

Joe Pantoliano (Frances Fratelli): With a long résumé, Pantoliano, 61, is probably best known for playing Ralphie on The Sopranos, which earned him an Emmy for best supporting actor in 2003.

Anne Ramsey (Mama Fratelli): A longtime character actress, Ramsey was nominated for an Oscar for 1987's Throw Momma From the Train. She died in 1988 at age 59.

Richard Donner (director, producer): Best known for directing Superman (1978) and the Lethal Weapon films, Donner, 82, has not been active in Hollywood for a few years.

Chris Columbus (screenwriter): Now 54, Columbus is very active in filmmaking: He directed Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire and the first two Harry Potter films. He was nominated for an Oscar for best picture last year for his work as a producer of The Help.

Steven Spielberg (executive producer, story writer): A native of Cincinnati, Hollywood titan Spielberg, 66, was nominated for two Oscars this year, for directing and producing Lincoln. He didn't win in either category, but he previously won directing Oscars for Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Schindler's List (1993). Forbes estimates his net worth at $3.2 billion.
