London man dies of crash injuries

A London man died Friday as a result of injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle crash Thursday, according to a release from the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.

Eddie Nolan, 53, died at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, according to the Fayette County Coroner's Office.

Nolan was driving a blue Chevrolet eastbound on Ky. 1305, also known as Tom Cat Trail, when it crossed into the westbound lane in a curve, ran off the left shoulder of the road, overturned on its top, toppled into a tree and came to rest in a ditch.

The crash was reported at 1 p.m. Thursday about 1/2 mile east of London. Witnesses said the car was traveling at high speed.
