Crash injures 2, closes Lexington's Russell Cave Road

A two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning left one car overturned and two people injured, fire officials said.

Lexington Fire Department Lt. Jordan Saas said two people were hurt in the crash at 2501 Russell Cave Road.

Maj. Joe Madden said they were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

The accident occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m., Madden said.

The road was closed for nearly an hour.
