Pairings set for Mid-South tournaments

Matchups were announced Tuesday for the Mid-South Conference men's and women's basketball tournaments to be held this week at the Frankfort Convention Center.

Lindsey Wilson is the No. 1 seed in the men's tournament, which begins Friday.

Cumberland (Tenn.) tops the women's event, which tips off Thursday.

Men's schedule

Friday's quarterfinals

2 p.m. — No. 1 seed Lindsey Wilson (26-4) vs. No. 8 Virginia-Wise (11-14).

4 p.m. — No. 4 Campbellsville (19-11) vs. No. 5 Shawnee State (16-13)

6 p.m. — No. 2 Pikeville (24-5) and No. 7 St. Catharine (13-13)

8 p.m. — No. 3 Georgetown (22-7) vs. No. 6 Cumberlands (19-11)

Saturday's semifinals

6 p.m. — Lindsey Wilson-Virginia-Wise winner vs. Campbellsville-Shawnee State winner

8 p.m. — Pikeville-St. Catharine winner vs. Georgetown-Cumberlands winner

Sunday's finals

5:30 p.m. — Semifinal winners meet
