Townhome fire was arson, Lexington officials say

Authorities said that a fire early Wednesday morning at an unoccupied townhome in Lexington was intentionally set.

A police officer noticed smoke coming from the two-story townhome on Mousas Way about 4 a.m., fire officials said.

Lexington Fire Department Battalion Chief Joe Best said anyone who has information about the fire or who saw anything suspicious should contact the department's investigation bureau at (859) 231-5672.
