James Bolden scored 14 of his 26 points in the second quarter, including going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line, and No. 11 Holmes held off No. 23 Covington Catholic in the 9th Region tournament finals at Northern Kentucky University. Quinton Chames added 10 points and nine rebounds for Holmes.
Nick Ruthsatz led the Colonels with 19 points.
The Bulldogs' victory earned them the final spot in this week's Sweet Sixteen in Rupp Arena. They'll play No. 7 Pleasure Ridge Park at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Warren Central 56, Russell County 48 (4th): The Dragons won the region championship for the third time in the past four years.
Graves County 63, Calloway County 50 (1st): The Eagles advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2009. Tyler Starkey was named the region tournament's MVP.

No. 1 Marion County 65, No. 9 Elizabethtown (5th): The Panthers were up 28-25 early in the third quarter before the undefeated Knights went on a 15-0 run to take control in the semifinals at Green County.
University of Kentucky signee Makayla Epps scored 18 of her 21 points in the second half for Marion County (34-0). Fellow future Cat Kyvin Goodin-Rodgers scored 15 points.
LaRue County 68, No. 22 Nelson County 67 (5th): Ivy Brown and Alexis Brewer combined to score all 20 of the Hawks' fourth-quarter points in a come-from-behind win in the semifinals.
