Business awards: Week of March 4

Chip Foley, owner and broker of Foley Auction & Realty, has been inducted into the Kentucky Auctioneers Hall of Fame.

Foley has been a licensed auctioneer since 1984 and has sold property ranging in price from a few thousand dollars to as high as $7.1 million.

Shana Davis, an environmental health coordinator at the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, has received the Outstanding Sanitarian Award from the Kentucky Association of Milk, Food and Environmental Sanitarians.

Davis received a nomination for her work on the FoodService Training Manual, which has helped LFCHD have the same version of guidance documents for Lexington and state health codes. The award also recognized Davis' work as a mentor for LFCHD staff as an FDA standardized inspector. She has been with LFCHD since August 2006.

Xact Associates, a Lexington telecommunications company that launched last June, has been named the winner of four awards to be presented at the industry Channel Partners Conference this week in Las Vegas.

The company specializes in cloud-based and traditional internet protocol voice and data technology.

Among the awards Xact received was being named a "Top 5 Data Cable provider" in the industry as determined by validated 2012 reviews from the 3,800 members of Telecom Association, a professional membership organization of telecom and technology consultants, agents, brokers and sales partners.
