Lexington students practice what to do if tornado strikes

In the same week Kentuckians marked the one-year anniversary of deadly tornadoes, students at Lexington's Crawford Middle School and across the state hunkered down in school hallways Tuesday for a storm drill.

The statewide tornado drill was held at 10:07 a.m. The Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee, working with Kentucky Emergency Management and the National Weather Service Office, conducted the drill. Photos of Crawford students were taken by Charles Bertram | Staff
