Lexington gets a Loft again

Lexington's second Loft store opens this weekend, at The Mall at Lexington Green. The other Lexington store is at Hamburg.

At the Lexington Green store, customers will receive a special tote as a gift, while supplies last, with purchases of $75 or more. Hours for the opening are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

■ Shops along Liberty Road, Henry Clay Boulevard and Winchester Road are getting together for an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Participating businesses are The Lunch Box, 720 Henry Clay Boulevard; Bee Hive, 714 Henry Clay Boulevard; Scout Antiques & More, 935 Liberty Road; Room Service, 933 Liberty Road; Great Dames, 925 Liberty Road; Stalls Antiques & Interiors, 930 Winchester Road, and Clark Art & Antiques, 801 Winchester Road.

Mulberry & Lime, 216 North Limestone, is hosting a Peacock Alley trunk show through Sunday. The complete bedding and bathroom collections are being showcased, and customers may register to win a hotel sheet set available in 32 colors.

■ Sam Le Vian of Le Vian jewelry will visit Macy's at Fayette Mall on Wednesday. The event, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., will feature refreshments, music, flowers and a drawing for a free gift basket.

■ The Derby Shoppe and Raggs in Danville will host a Geiger trunk show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. The fall line, including new colors and styles, will be shown, and there will be a 10 percent discount on all orders. The stores are at 124 and 126 North Third Street, Danville.

■ The Athens Schoolhouse Antiques Show, 6270 Athens Walnut Hill Pike, is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2, free for ages 11 and younger. Call (859) 255-7309 or go to Antiqueskentucky.com.

Adelé at 445 South Ashland Avenue celebrates its second anniversary with its annual balloon sale. Pop a balloon for discounts up to 30 percent through Saturday.

■ More than 15,000 books will be on sale Thursday through March 16 at the International Book Project Spring Half-Price Sale at 1440 Delaware Avenue. All books in the bookstore will be half off. Warehouse clearance books will be $2 per plastic grocery bag, which will be provided.

Sale hours are noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
