Lexington police released surveillance photos Monday of two robbers, armed with a gun and pepper spray, assaulting a jewelry store clerk.

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the two men, who escaped March 2 with a bag of jewelry from Alexandria's Jewelry Store, 1565 Alexandria Drive, according to a news release.

One of the robbers sprayed pepper spray in the store, and the other hit the clerk on the head with the gun and fired a shot, police said.
